Top Universities for Hospitality & Leisure Management in the US & Canada
The United States boasts the world’s top-ranked university for hospitality and leisure management, with the University of Nevada – Las Vegas maintaining its first-place position. Across the country, Cornell University has risen two places to secure a spot in the top 10. Additionally, 13 other US institutions have earned positions in the ranking, with Pennsylvania State University at 12th and Purdue University at 13th.
In contrast, the University of Waterloo is the lone Canadian institution on the list, ranking 19th this year.
Top Universities for Hospitality & Leisure Management in Europe
Among the six European countries represented in the hospitality ranking, Switzerland and the UK stand out with seven representatives each. In Switzerland, four of these institutions feature in the top 10, while the UK’s Bournemouth University impressively climbed eight places in this year’s ranking.
Beyond the top 10, the highest-ranked Swiss and UK institutions for hospitality and leisure management are HTMi – Hotel and Tourism Management Institute Switzerland (14th) and Oxford Brookes University (18th).
Elsewhere in Europe, NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands has surged 11 positions to now claim the 26th spot in the world for hospitality. Russia’s Lomonosov Moscow State University has moved up two places to share the joint 41st position. Spain and Sweden have made their debut in the ranking this year, with University College of Hospitality Management Sant Pol de Mar, Barcelona, and Lund University jointly occupying the 48th place.
Top Universities for Hospitality & Leisure Management in Asia
Nine Asian universities have secured positions among the world’s best for hospitality, led by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in third place. Hong Kong is also represented by the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), which shares the 41st position.
The next two highest-ranked Asian institutions are Malaysia’s sole entrant, Taylor’s University, which has climbed eight places this year to secure the 21st position, and Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU), ranked 25th.
South Korea boasts three entrants in the hospitality ranking, led by Sejong University at 33rd. The special administrative region of Macau has two institutions ranked among the world’s best for studying hospitality degrees: the Institute for Tourism Studies, ranked 30th, and new entry University of Macau, ranked 46th.
Top Universities for Hospitality & Leisure Management in Australia & New Zealand
Six Australian universities are ranked among the world’s best for studying a hospitality degree, with Griffith University at 11th, while The University of Queensland (UQ) also features in the top 20 at 16th.
New Zealand has three representatives in the ranking, led by the University of Waikato at 27th. New entry Victoria University of Wellington follows at 28th, while Auckland University of Technology (AUT) has climbed 10 places to share the 35th position this year.
H2: Top Universities for Hospitality & Leisure Management in Latin America
Latin America is now featured in the hospitality and leisure management ranking for the first time ever. Universidad Externado de Colombia is the new entrant from this region, and the Colombian institution is ranked as the 40th best place in the world for studying a hospitality degree.
